The Garlands Retirement package is offered on a full livery basis, all horses will benefit from receiving all year round turn out and a stable of their own. Horses at the Garlands are grazed in mixed herds as from experience we find them happier living in their natural environment. We monitor carefully for bullying amongst the herd and deal with it as appropriate.

It’s is our aim to ensure that your horse in his older years is settled in a calm and relaxed atmosphere with people caring for him who will meet and respect his individual physical and mental needs.

A Basic Package £55 per week includes:~ Stable and Grazing, Basic quality feed of Course mix and chaff, Supplements of Garlic and Oil, Vegtables, Hay/Haylage, Bedding, Worming, Dentist (standard check & file annually), Feet trimming, Rug Changing, Sun Cream, Fly Spray, Grooming and Trimming

We ask that your horse comes with: Head collar & lead Rope, Two Outdoor rugs of different weights, 1 light weight shower-proof rug, Stable rug (if required), Fly rug or Specialist rug (if required)

Vaccinations, Dental work, Shoeing, Veterinary care, drugs, rug cleaning/repairing and supplies will be billed in addition to the above. Extra supplements such as Biotin, Devils Claw, Farriers Formula, MSM are available by request and will be billed with your monthly bill.

We work very closely with our Veterinary surgeons from Bushey Equine Vets, a Specialist Equine Veterinary Practise who offer 24hr call out. Our registered Farrier regularly attends the yard and is available for routine and remedial shoeing and trimming.

Further individual tailored packages are available on request; these may include exercise and dietary requirements.
